Wheel fitment guide
Fitting an Advan wheel comes down to four numbers: diameter, width, offset and bolt pattern. Get those right and the wheel clears the brakes, sits where you want it in the arch and takes a tyre that suits the car.
Bolt pattern
The bolt pattern has to match exactly. We stock 5×114.3, 4×100, 5×112, 5×100, 5×120, 5×130, 4×98, 5×108, 5×110, 6×139.7 and centre lock. Adapters change offset and add unsprung weight, so buy the pattern your car actually uses.
Diameter
A smaller diameter with a taller sidewall rides better and costs less in tyres. A larger diameter fills the arch and clears a big brake kit. Most of our catalogue sits at 18 inches because that is where the widest choice of performance tyres lives.
Width and tyre choice
Width decides the tyre section you can run and how square the tread sits. Going wider without going taller in the arch usually costs you ride quality, so plan the tyre and the wheel together rather than one after the other.
Offset
Offset is how far the mounting face sits from the wheel centreline. A lower number pushes the wheel outward, fills the arch and adds scrub radius; a higher number tucks it in and protects the suspension geometry. Tell us your current offset and we work from there.
Brake clearance
Big brake kits need spoke clearance, not just diameter. If you have aftermarket calipers, tell us which kit and we check the spoke profile before confirming the order.
Forged or flow formed
Forged wheels are lighter for the same strength. Flow formed wheels are close behind for meaningfully less money. On a road car the tyre choice matters more than the construction; on a track car the forged set earns its price.
Ask us first
Send your year, make, model, current wheel and tyre size and any brake or suspension changes, and we will confirm the specification before you spend the money.
